Special Events & Venue Hire of Leighton Hall

On receipt of your deposit, we understand that you have accepted and will adhere to our Terms & Conditions as follows.

  • The agreed non-refundable deposit and a letter / email of confirmation is required as confirmation of your special event booking. The balance payment is due 14 days prior to the function.
  • In the event of a cancellation any costs incurred by us will be charged to the client. If the special event is cancelled within one month of the date, the full fee is payable.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to provide adequate insurance cover for their own special event outlay and hired equipment.
  • You are welcome to bring in vendors of your own choice, who will be located in the parkland / showground. It is the event organisers’ responsibility to ensure they are maintained and adhere to safety standards.
  • Leighton Hall Estate accepts no responsibility for any injuries sustained during an event, resulting from any trips or falls while on the property, or within the garden and grounds, under any circumstances.
  • Leighton Hall Estate accepts no responsibility for adverse weather conditions that may lead to exhibitors or the general public not attending or the organiser cancelling the event.
  • Leighton Hall Estate accepts no responsibility if there is failure in the supply of mains electricity, resulting from external activities within the supply company or owing to a fault to the equipment owned by the supply company.
  • All breakages, damages and loss of Leighton Hall equipment by the organiser will be charged at cost.
  • All our prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless stated on our website. These will be subject to VAT at the current rate.
  • The organiser must confirm if any Local Authority Event Licences are required and if so, the organiser must arrange these in advance of the event. They must supply a copy the estate and comply with all the conditions listed.
  • Rude and aggressive behaviour towards Leighton Hall staff will not be tolerated from the public or any of the organiser’s staff. In such a case Leighton Hall Estate reserves the right to have that person(s) removed from the event and if the problem is not resolved, to bring the event to a close, if necessary.
  • Any equipment including cars that are associated with the event can be left on the estate over night, but the estate accepts no responsibility for them, or liability for any damage or theft.
  • Leighton Hall Estate accepts no responsibility for any third-party supplier booked by the organiser, member of the organiser’s team, or sponsor. The organiser is fully responsible for completing their own due diligence on any third party before booking.
  • Fireworks are allowed but only by prior arrangement, fired by a professional and fully insured fireworks company. The Firework Company are to complete a site visit and then provide a copy of their Risk Assessment, Site Plan and Public Liability to the estate prior to the event.
  • Drones are not allowed unless by prior arrangement.
  • Chinese Lanterns are not permitted.
  • Dogs are not allowed unless by prior arrangement. Assistance Dogs are permitted.
  • All marketing and ticket sales / refunds for the event are the responsibility of the event organiser.
  • Loos and rubbish management are the event organisers’ responsibility to arrange to ensure adequate facilities for the event size.
  • A copy of the organisers’ event risk assessment, site plan and Public Liability Insurance are required by the estate prior to the event.
