Set in a tranquil bowl of parkland, far from the noise of everyday life, Leighton Hall provides an atmosphere of peace and calm: a place where nature, heritage, and gentle hospitality combine to create something truly special.

Exclusive Use, Tailored to You

When you choose Leighton Hall for a funeral reception there’s no rush - you’re welcome to stay for as long as you need (most guests stay with us for about three hours).

Whether you're planning a quiet wake, a more formal reception, or a relaxed get-together with food, stories, and photos, we’ll help you shape a gathering that truly reflects the person you’re remembering.

We can accommodate:

  • An unhurried reception following a service at a local church or nearby crematorium (Lancaster or Beetham)
  • A memorial celebration held weeks or months after the passing, offering time for grief and reflection and to time to make arrangements for guests travelling from afar.
Food, Drink, and Remembrance

Our catering is flexible and personal. Whether you’d prefer a traditional afternoon tea, a comforting hot meal, or something entirely bespoke, we’ll create a menu that suits your wishes. We are fully licensed to serve drinks, and toast your loved one with whatever feels right for the occasion.

You’re welcome to use a projector to share photos or videos. Our team will be on hand to support you gently and respectfully throughout the day.

Plant a Tree as a Lasting Tribute

Whether you hold your farewell at Leighton Hall or not, we offer a special and lasting way to honour the memory of your loved one: a tree planted in their name within our parkland. You can also have a plaque made in your loved one’s memory.

We’ll care for the tree on your behalf which will be a living tribute that will grow and flourish in the years to come.
