Events For Families

Run beautiful trails through Leighton Hall’s woods and parkland, and the crags and bay views of Silverdale's National Landscape. Event village includes food and coffee stalls. Runners must be at least 16 years old. No dogs allowed.

Timings: 10k event start 11:00am, half-marathon start 12:30pm

A fun family day of everything waggy-tailed and dog-related in Leighton’s rolling parkland. Top displays, dog training experts, dog agility demo, gundog demo, have-a-go activities including fun dog show, stalls, treats, shopping and everything to get tails wagging!

Timings: Gates open from 10am, event closes at 4pm. First Dog Class from 10.30am

The North's celebration of Porsche and Supercars. Bringing together and celebrating these elite cars, this family day out showcases simply the best premier automotive brands. Special guests, live speakers, live music and food and drink available. Picnics welcome but please do not bring glass. Dogs on leads welcome.

Timings: Gates open at 10:30am Last entry at 3:00pm
Cost: Adults £18, Child (age 6 – 15) £7.50, Children under 6 years free.

Hundreds of vintage vehicles, performance and classic cars on display on Leighton’s lawn and terrace. Arena commentary and the ever popular auto jumble. A great family day out.

Timings: 10am - 4pm
Cost: Adults £12.50 Accompanied children (3-15yrs) £5, Family (2 adults + up to 3 children) £30.

Extended opening times to welcome families to the Hall and extra activities for children to enjoy. There’s also time to take a Woodland Walk, follow the Tree Face Trail, climb on the play area, enjoy bee corner, the insect hotel and brass rubbings or run around the caterpillar maze. Birds of prey are flown (Weather Permitting)

Timings: Tuesday to Thursday and Sundays 1:30pm - 5:30pm plus Bank Holiday Monday

Founded by enthusiasts in 1955, there's not much Kirkby Lonsdale Motoring Club don’t know about classic motoring history! "The Car's the Star" show features cars, motorbikes, kit cars and utility vehicles, as well as club stands, displays, competitions, bargains and shopping, food, drink and much more.
