Filming & Photography

Leighton Hall offers a range of stunning options for filming and still photography, both in the hall and garden as well as on the wider estate.

The Hall and estate have been locations for the romantic mystery ‘Possession’, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, and Anneka Rice’s much-loved Channel Four series ‘Treasure Hunt’, as well as starring as Ridling Thorpe Manor in ‘The Adventure of the Dancing Men’, from Granada TV’s iconic Sherlock Holmes series, starring Jeremy Brett.

You will find beautiful backdrops for everything from a photoshoot, fashion shoot or product launch to film, TV, gameshow or streaming location. The hall is easily accessible, just five minutes from junction 35 of the M6, with plenty of parking for support vehicles and crew, as well as helicopter landing facilities.

We also offer the use of a 'Support Room', where the production team can set up technical equipment, use the space for storage, access a secure WiFi fibre optic internet, and make use of a breakout space with tea & coffee facilities.

Additional Facilities and Refreshments

Toilets are just across from the 'Support Room' in the tearoom garden. Light lunches or extra refreshments can be provided on request. For further details on what's available please contact us with details for a quote.

Commercial photography and filming, including the use of drones, is not allowed anywhere in the house or on the estate without the owner’s written permission.

Filming & Photography Facility Fees

These are negotiated on an individual basis following guidance from the Historic Houses film & photography scale.
