Famed for its Lakeland backdrop, sweeping gardens, and historic Hall tours, family visitors have long loved summer visits to Carnforth’s Leighton Hall.
But it’s not all about summer afternoons out. Leighton Hall is magical in the winter and this Christmas Leighton’s doors are being opened to the general public for a one night only, special festive tour.
Previously only available to groups of 20 of more, lucky households of any size (couples, family groups and friends) will be able to treat themselves to a very special early Christmas present.
A festive evening Candlelight Tour showcases Leighton’s unique historic charms at this special time of year. Enjoy a tour by flickering light and revel in the atmospheric hall, dressed for a traditional Christmas, and steeped in history and mystery.
As soon as you’re welcomed through the doors, you’re one of the family, invited to relax in seasonal splendour. Cast off coats and scarfs- even wet wellies, and pad around in your socks if you like! Children are welcome too.
Guided by the lady of the house, Mrs Suzie Reynolds and her team, they’ll share the enchanting history, stories and secrets of the famous Gillow furniture making family. The evening culminates in the magnificent music room with mulled wine and mince pies before a roaring open fire.
For one night only, the hall is open to all on Thursday 1st December at 6pm.
Places are limited and prebooked tickets are required and available here.
