Family Fun Day Celebrating National Apple Day
Activities and events include pickings, tastings, pressings, games, crafts and cooking, as well as a makers market and demonstrations, with special guests straight out of Leighton’s Victorian heyday on hand bringing history, heritage and horticulture to life.
With conservation, nature and craft enthusiasts including the Bee Club, Food Futures, Coppice Co-op, RSPB, Larksfoot Forest School and Harrison Ward, the “Fell Foodie”, visitors can try their hands at basket weaving, beekeeping, apple picking and campfire cooking or indulge in heritage cider, juices, bakes and preserves.
The tea room, gardens, play areas, maze and woodland walk will be open.
This event will take place rain or shine. With family friendly pricing everyone’s invited. Sorry no dogs allowed at this event.
