Our enthusiastic child friendly guides, here at Leighton Hall are famous for bringing the house to life, where everyone is welcome to join in the fun, and we haven’t forgotten about our younger visitors either.

During August, children are treated to a free teddy bear hunt when they visit the hall.

For just 4 weeks, any child visiting the historic house will be offered an entry form and a pencil to take with them on their guided tour. A member of the Reynolds family of teddy bears will be in each room and the children need to spot them and write down where they’ve seen the furry creatures. All the bears have different personalities and there’s lots of information about the bears on the competition forms.

There will be a big box for entries in the gift shop and at the end of each week, one lucky winner will be drawn at random to win a Leighton Hall mug with their own little Leighton bear in it.

The competition is free to enter and children are encouraged to learn about the different rooms of the house, by spotting one of Leighton’s old cuddlies!

This is just one of many initiatives to bring the Hall alive for Leighton's younger visitors. On sunny days, the popular caterpillar maze and woodland walk are still favourite activities with children. The charming tearooms serve light refreshments and there’s an attractive and affordable gift shop for souvenirs.
