Cut out the two bird shapes and stick each one to a pencil. Write push on the upper side and pull on the lower side. Wave the bird up and drop as if they were flying. Forces in action!



1. Which bird is faster - the long winged bird or the broadwinged bird?
2. Which would use the least energy flying and why?
