We are Open!
We are delighted to tell you that we are able to re – open for group visits from mid July.
For the time being, we can offer visits for groups of no more than 24 people on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.00 a.m. – 1 p.m. or from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. All groups must be booked in advance either by telephoning the office on 01524 734474 or by e mail to email@example.com Tours of the house are of limited size . The Tearooms, Toilets, Playground, Gardens and Woodland Walk will all be open as well, but unfortunately we are unable to offer the Birds of Prey Display at this time. Please see our Covid-19 Statement below to see the measures we have put in place to ensure your safety and well being during your visit.
We listened, learned and created the day out you wanted We asked our group organisers what was important to them when planning a group outing, and learned that they wanted:
* An easy booking process
* The destination(s) to provide a scheduled itinerary
* The option for a full day or half day excursion
* Value for money - using the coach to its full potential
* A meal and rest space for the driver
* Free familiarisation visits
This has led us to generate 3 brand new day trips all with a different theme, but with Leighton at the heart of the visit, therefore we now have 6 different ways to visit Leighton Hall. From a traditional house tour to a full day out across two individual destinations, our unique packages have something for everyone.
Half day packages start from £8.00 and full day destinations from £17.00.
A trip to Leighton Hall gives your group, access to beautiful Gillow furniture grounds and gardens for an afternoon stroll, entertaining and fascinating house tours, breath taking flying displays from birds of prey and delicious homemade cakes and plenty of tea served how it should be in “real” tea cups, in our charming tea rooms.
So much more than a historic house, Leighton Hall has no roped off areas and visitors really get involved, sit on the furniture, play the piano, climb the stairs and enjoy their tour without being asked not to touch.
We regularly welcome pre booked parties of 20 or more. We give your coach driver free entry to the hall, a free meal and perhaps most importantly free and ample parking in our coach park. We haven’t forgotten about the Group Organisers either. We provide you with a free tour of the Hall when you bring your group to us.
Drop off your party right outside our front door, relax, and let our friendly and enthusiastic guides do the rest.
A day out in the country yet only 5 miles from the M6, we offer 3 themed packages, so whether you’ve a fondness for flora or a passion for the past, there’s a fulfilling package for you.
How to get here:
By Car: 10 minutes drive from M6, exit 35. Leighton Hall is signposted with brown tourism signs from the M6 junction on the A6
If using Satnav, our postcode is LA5 9ST, however we strongly recommend that once you have reached the A6, you follow the brown tourism signs as satnavs can be inaccurate from here on.
By Coach: Follow directions as above, but rather than taking the signed route off the A6 up Dykes Lane, continue a few 100 yards along the A6 to the next left up Roseacre Lane - signed 'Leighton Coaches'. At the end turn left, up the hill where you will pick up the brown tourism signs again. You are only 5 minutes away!
