As the nights draw in, candlelit tours at Leighton Hall, are a wonderful way to experience this breath taking historic house in a totally different way.
This is an exclusive package for pre booked groups which will bring a glimmer of light to the dark, winter evenings.
Explore Leighton by flickering candlelight, guided by the lady of the house, Mrs Gillow Reynolds or one of her enthusiastic team, visitors will be able to discover the fascinating history of Leighton Hall. On the tour of the house you stop in the old chapel, visit the bedroom known as “The Battlefield” and share enchanting secrets about the history of the Gillow Reynolds family.
Your atmospheric tour ends with mulled wine and mince pies served in front of a roaring open fire in the magnificent Music Room.
Suzie Gillow Reynolds said, “We love to have groups visiting Leighton - It brings the house alive. Over the years, we’ve developed different themed tours specifically for groups, but the candlelit tour is our favourite. Leighton is a gothic house and seeing it by a glimmering light, across long shadows is an intriguing and very different experience from a warm sunny afternoon!”
The candlelit tour is just £15.50 per person & is available 1st November 2016 – 28th February 2017, with only one tour each evening. There’s free, ample and easy parking for the coach driver along with a free meal and free entry. Coaches can be driven right up to the front door which is helpful on dark nights. The group organiser also receives a free tour.
Leighton Hall is open all year round for pre booked groups of 25 or more. Daytime packages include “inside Leighton Hall” - £7.00 and “Tea and Tour” - £15.50.
