Have your special day at Leighton Hall
" What a day we had last Saturday!!
Despite the weather, we had the best Wedding we could have hoped for and I would like to express my sincere thanks to you both for making it come together so well and allowing us the use of your beautiful home. Your help and guidance throughout the process was invaluable and I can't thank you enough for that."

Faced with the very daunting task of organising a hen party for a large group of people, many of whom I didn't even know, I was a little apprehensive to say the least.
I wanted something, original, memorable and, above all, that everyone would enjoy. Considering the varying ages of the women in my group, I came up with the idea of afternoon tea and started to look at my options in and around Manchester. I slowly started to realise that I was going to need more than a simple afternoon tea to keep a group of over 21 people occupied for an entire day.
More than just Afternoon Tea
During my internet research I happened upon Leighton Hall. Looking at the pictures and reading about the activities offered I started to become excited at the prospect that I may have found our perfect location. However, to avoid disappointment I didn't get my hopes up as surely a place as breathtaking as Leighton Hall would be way out of our budget and perhaps they wouldn't cater to a large group of 'hens'. I took the plunge and rang the Hall anyway........and I am so happy I did!
From minute one Suzie Reynolds at the Hall put me at ease with her enthusiasm for the idea an helpful suggestions as to how the day could be made even better, at this point, an otherwise stressful task became fun as it came down to the finer details. After many phone calls with Suzie discussing the event I was invited up to Leighton Hall to see it for myself and meet with Nick Haigh from Team Wizard Ltd. who would discuss the potential activities available to us.
Arriving at the Hall, I quickly realised that the photographs on the website do not do the house and grounds justice as it is even more impressive in real life. The inviting glow of the lights projecting into the night made me desperate to get inside where I and a friend were warmly greeted with tea and biscuits and the delicious smell of wood smoke from the roaring fires. We sat down and completely tailor made the package we wanted and worked out exactly how we wanted the day to go with helpful suggestions from Suzie and Nick who were both very keen to make sure we had the exact experience we were looking for.
Leighton Hall is different
Leighton Hall is not a sterile and stoic stately home with cordons and locked doors, it is a family home and therein lies the difference.
When we arrived on the actual day we were welcomed in with tea and coffee looking out over acres of beautiful green countryside, at no point did we feel like guests in someone else's house, on the contrary, it felt like (a rather grand) home away from home.
We were then taken out onto the lawns and proceeded with the clay pigeon shooting and archery that we had decided upon. This was run by Nick and his associate Carl, who dealt very well with a group of excitable hens in possession of potentially lethal weapons!
They quickly put everyone at ease and got everyone involved in the games guiding a group of novices very professionally through the activities so at the end everyone had a great sense of achievement.
Following that, everyone made their way back to the house where the afternoon tea had been set up in the richly decorated, wood paneled dining room. There we were left to enjoy a delicious array of sandwiches and delicious home made cakes, with the friendly staff discreetly popping in and out to make sure everyone had everything they needed. The day proceeded like clock work which was thanks to all the people involved, we were made to feel very welcome and were never rushed.
The Bride to Be was completely overwhelmed and upon entering the dining room, rendered speechless at the sight of the endless table spanning the full length of the dining room, the grand candelabras and the delicate china decorating the table.
We ate and drank to our hearts content and the newly 'expert' archers and gun(wo)men were presented with their prizes by Nick and Carl with the Bride to Be being presented with the target as a souvenir of her day.
It's the Perfect Location
The intimate atmosphere and beautiful surroundings of Leighton Hall make it a perfect location for many different occasions and together with the reasonable prices of exclusive use of the house and the activities offered I would not hesitate to recommend it, we had a wonderful day.
