Plant, Craft and Gift Fair at Leighton Hall, Carnforth to raise vital funds for British Red Cross
The event may be a bit of a mouthful, but Lancashire and Cumbria has so much to offer, we had to include it all!
The British Red Cross is proud to announce their Plant, Craft and Gift fair, a brand new event taking place at the beautiful setting of Leighton Hall, Carnforth in Lancashire (just off J35 of the M6) on Sunday 21 May 2017 from 10am - 4pm. The imposing house and surrounding parkland makes for a stunning backdrop and the wide open spaces around the hall accommodate crowds with ease. Historically known as the home of the famous Gillow furniture family, Leighton Hall is situated within the Silverdale & Arnside area of outstanding natural beauty and is sure to provide a wow factor for all attendees. We want to bring together all the things that symbolise Lancashire and Cumbria in one outstanding event: heritage, natural beauty and the creative ingenuity of the crafts people and independent producers that are so numerous!
This will be a fair with a difference – country fair meets market day in a bid to capture all the local flavours of Lancashire and Cumbria counties as well as its craft skills and green fingers. The British Red Cross run multiple successful fairs across the UK however this will be our flagship event in the Lancashire and Cumbria area. We already have 40 stalls confirmed with a fantastic selection of unusual plants and garden products, floral arrangements, quality crafts and gifts including handmade soaps, wooden products, all kinds of handmade jewellery, vintage clothing, art and antiques, a local brewery plus a hog roast and great coffee supplier! There really will be something for everyone. The Leighton Hall tea room will also be open all day and ample time to wander around the grounds. Entrance to the public is £4 in advance on www.redcross.org.uk/leightonhall and £5 on the day and children and parking are free.
