Lakeland Classic Car Rally

Hundreds of classic cars converge on Carnforth for a gentle day of
nostalgia. Leighton Hall is the perfect historic setting for the vintage
vans, motorbikes, classic convertibles and other unusual motors displayed by
individual enthusiasts and car clubs. This hugely popular event gives
patrons chance to really get up close to these wonderful vehicles as well as
browse the many trade stands and auto jumble.

Shakespeare in the Garden – “Much Ado About Nothing ”

This years’ alfresco performance set in Leighton Hall’s beautiful gardens is “Much Ado about Nothing”. Performed by the Festival Players, this romantic classic is one of the Bard's best loved and funniest plays. Leighton’s gardens open at 6pm for pre-performance picnics. Leighton Hall Food and Craft fair
Saturday and Sunday 6th and 7th September 2008

Pottery, paintings, patchwork and pies are just some of the wares on sale at
this massive undercover event. A mixture of interesting crafts and
traditional foods, the Food and Craft Fair is a well established event at
Leighton. Over 120 craftspeople take part in this autumn gathering. It’s a
great opportunity to find unusual Christmas presents and there are plenty of
interactive displays and demonstrations like woodturning and pot making to

Doll’s House & Miniatures Fair

At the annual Doll’s House & Miniatures Fair more than thirty teeny traders
set up inside Leighton Hall, so visitors can wander through the Gillow’s
Historic House whilst browsing and shopping for that perfect piece for their
own miniature Stately Home! With hundreds of pieces for sale including
miniature food and furniture, tiny toys, petite people and even working
smoke alarms, the Fair has everything your dollies could need for a
